Re: United Nations pushes full LGBT participation rights in churches

Sub, where is the line in the sand for you? (I'm asking sincerely) The line in the sand that you guys constantly ask for will never be crossed by the church. And no, because same sex marriage is legal in a country does NOT mean that religious organizations will be obligated to marry people of the s...

Re: United Nations pushes full LGBT participation rights in churches

Good Global Citizens believe in being subject to Presidents, Kings, Magistrates and unelected global leaders This piece in the LDS Newsroom is interesting. They cite the offense of committing polygamy as worthy of ex-communication, but they don‘t cite revelation as the reason for the change, but du...

The Defense of Marriage Act was repealed when they approved gay marriage.

Re: Can you say Depopulation

Well if the vaccines were depopulating the Earth they are doing a pretty pathetic job at that. Remember, I am supposed to be dead in six months and change! A lot of people got saline, maybe you did too. I am hoping and praying that that's what my daughter got (she was required to get it as a health...

Re: Tithing

Temple tithing is what makes the church an authoritarian cult. It is literally buying your salvation. People need to ask themselves if the purchase is worth the price. I suggest a thorough understanding of scripture would reveal the temple to be a racket.

Re: Former Stake President transitions to female

Imagine how Elizabeth Smart felt after being kidnapped, raped many, many times, finally found, and the church treated her like a used can of tomatoes, and just when she is getting back to normal, she finds out her dad thinks he is a girl. That is a messed up set of circumstances. This behavior shou...

Re: Birth control as the beginning of compromise

Perhaps. Either way, at this point it is pretty tough to distinguish the Church from Babylon. But you make a good point, we have now reached a point where most Mormons would probably rather have a McMansion than children. And the corresponding extra tithing income does seem to be more important to ...

Re: Birth control as the beginning of compromise

Personal experience: When I got married ten years ago, I went on the pill. Not long after, I started having severe panic attacks and major depression. I could not function. I remember one time I got so upset/scared that I screamed and threw my phone across the room and into the wall. My poor husban...

UctDorf’s democratic donation was from a blind trust. You think that he didn't know where $12000-ish dollars were going? That's pure silliness. They were going to the abortionist party of the good US of A. Tithing money, even. I suspect Uchtdorf is for the pro illegal immigration party. That seems ...
